The University has committed financial resources – available immediately – to help ensure students and academics displaced by humanitarian crises are able to pursue their studies, research, or academic careers at McGill, in an environment of safety and stability.

The Fund provides a source of financing and an academic home by arranging temporary research and teaching roles as well as stipends or fellowships for living expenses.

SFU Diverse Qualifications (DQ) Admission allows us to see beyond your academic transcript by taking more than your grades into consideration. You may consider applying through DQ if you are a domestic student with a refugee background.

The Simon Fraser Student Society & WUSC Undergraduate Award for Refugee Students was established at Simon Fraser University in 2022 with a generous five-year commitment from the Simon Fraser Student Society.

Principal’s Global Fellows Program provides funding to increase academic and research activity between Queen’s faculty members in the four priority geographies (Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia).

Principal’s Global Scholars provides forcibly displaced students and those who hold precarious immigration status with an admissions pathway and funding to complete their degree at Queen’s.
