Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Academic Integration

The position is part of the SSHRC-funded UnborderED Knowledge research project (Cluster 3) and is hosted by Saint Mary’s University. The appointment is a full-time, 12-month position beginning on or around August 1, 2026, with an annual salary of $53,800.
The successful candidate will contribute to research identifying and analyzing programs and initiatives that support the inclusion of scholars and researchers with lived experience of forced displacement. Responsibilities include conducting national and international environmental scans, developing knowledge mobilization resources, supporting research ethics applications, producing reports and presentations on best practices in academic integration, and contributing to project communications and dissemination activities.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a social sciences or humanities discipline, have lived experience of forced migration, be legally entitled to work in Canada, and be legally resident in Canada throughout the appointment.
Additional assets include knowledge of programs supporting the integration of academic researchers, experience with qualitative and/or mixed-method research, a strong publication record, understanding of research ethics processes, excellent collaborative skills, and multilingual capacity.
