Daniela Pelaez is an undergraduate student pursuing her Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Management with a French Immersion stream at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. As a Communications and Digital Design Assistant for the UnborderED Knowledge / Savoirs sans frontières project, she contributes to the creation of visually engaging public-facing materials. Daniela has experience in content creation, social media, and visual storytelling. She is passionate about making knowledge more accessible through creative communication and collaborative design.

Gamelle Kamga is an undergraduate student pursuing her BASc in Software Engineering with a specialization in Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Ottawa. As a Communications and Knowledge Mobilization Assistant, she contributes to the technical development of digital platforms, including  database modeling, web integration, and translation accuracy for bilingual content. She has previously worked on web development projects focused on user experience, content management, and accessibility. Passionate about inclusion in education, Gamelle is committed to using technology to support equity driven initiatives.

Parisa Azari is a Ph.D. Candidate in Law at the University of Ottawa, with a background in International Law. Her research focuses on the role of higher education networks—specifically the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and Scholars at Risk (SAR)—in advancing the concept of protection for forced migrants within international law. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked with international and non-governmental organizations supporting Afghan refugees. As a Research Assistant with the UnborderED Knowledge project, she contributes to creating a database of existing and available higher education opportunities for forced migrants across Canada.

Yaroslav Samoylov was born in Crimea, Ukraine. He earned his undergraduate degree in International Affairs from Ankara University (Ankara, Turkey) and later completed his master’s degree in the same field at Uludag University (Bursa, Turkey). His master’s thesis, titled “The Impact of the Russian Federation’s Syria Policy on the Regional and Global Balance of Power,” was later published as a book in Turkey. He recently completed his Ph.D. in International Affairs at Ankara University, defending his dissertation titled “Dynamics of Continuity in Soviet and Russian Federation Policy toward Israel.” As part of his doctoral studies, Yaroslav was a visiting scholar at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University (Canada). Previously, he worked as a lead threat analyst at Crisis24 in Ottawa and served as an analyst on the Russia desk at the Sahipkiran Center for Strategic Research in Ankara. Yaroslav completed internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies (ORSAM) in Ankara.
