PSSAR (Palestinian Students & Scholars at Risk) Network is a Canadian-based, volunteer-led non-profit dedicated to helping Palestinian scholars access research opportunities abroad, especially in the face of barriers, occupation, and systemic academic disruption.

Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Associate Vice-President, Student Affairs and Student Life to outstanding undergraduate students who are or have been a Convention Refugee or a person in need of protection and are enrolled in any program of study at Carleton University. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be for students who identify as women.

Research Nova Scotia offered immediate research support funding for Ukrainian students and researchers who were relocating to Canada, either temporarily or permanently, as a result of the Russian invasion.

The CRS Bursary for Refugee Students supports entering or continuing undergraduate students who do not have an immigration status in Canada: who are asylum seekers, who are in the process of making a refugee claim or are applying for permanent residence status under humanitarian and compassionate grounds and who have demonstrated financial need. In the absence of any eligible non status application in a given year, the award may be given to a refugee student with Convention Refugee or Protected Person status.

Funding is available each year to support undergraduate and graduate refugee students who are sponsored by the World University Service of Canada at Waterloo (WUSC) or any other students who are recognized by the Canadian government as being refugees or protected persons.

The goal of the scholarship fund is to provide financial support to foster academic and leadership excellence in immigrant and refugee youth. The fund supplements the tuition and supplies required for their post-secondary education in the National Capital Region.
